The Living Room focuses on processes of transformations of the natural and cultural.
As the line between the artificial and the natural gets more and more dissolved, the formation process becomes more decisive for creations and the concept of design is fortified with great emphasis on process. The exhibited projects describe an ephemeral condition, are subject to continual change or represent a snapshot of a natural process.
As part of their third curatorial project, the Dunbar’s Number collective, together with the participating artists and designers will reflect on the macrocosm and microcosm – the Living Room – as places where life happens, by emphasising the experiential value of the selected projects.
Dunbar’s Number is a collective formed by Sonja Bäumel, mischer’traxler, Martin Robitsch, Konstantin Schmölzer and curator Judith Radlegger.
The Living Room exhibition includes works of Sonja Bäumel, Maarten De Ceulaer, Commonplace Studio, Officina Corpuscoli, David Derksen, Studio Formafantasma, Marlène Huissoud, mischer’traxler and Martin Robitsch.
